Toward the end of 2017 ING Design were contacted by Neil Pike Architects.

The question Neil Pike asked was; can we put two additional floors on the roof of the existing building?

During the initial consultation Neil and Ian scribbled on a set of architectural drawings. Toyed with some conceptual ideas and chatted about aspirations for the project.

Shortly after ING Design were commissioned by Empire Property Concepts to complete a detailed structural design for two additional floors. 

As part of the design ING Design also removed some unnecessary new vertical bracing. The new bracing had been introduced by the previous structural consultant who considered it necessary.

This project is on site and awaiting a return to activity following the COVID-19 shut down. 

As a result of the successful work on this project ING Design have collaborated on several more projects with Neil Pike Architects and ING Design have also been approached directly by Empire Property Concepts to assist in the design of several more residential projects.
